Il permet <\/span><b>la d\u00e9tection pr\u00e9coce des l\u00e9sions r\u00e9nales (hydron\u00e9phrose) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ainsi que le <\/span><b>diagnostic de l&rsquo;hydroc\u00e9phalie (hydroc\u00e9phalie) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">et aide \u00e9galement \u00e0 identifier d&rsquo;autres maladies internes \u00e0 un stade pr\u00e9coce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contrairement \u00e0 la tomodensitom\u00e9trie, l&rsquo;\u00e9chographie ne produit aucune radiation et ne pr\u00e9sente aucun risque pour l&rsquo;enfant. Un scanner ne doit \u00eatre effectu\u00e9 qu&rsquo;en cas d&rsquo;absolue n\u00e9cessit\u00e9, par exemple si la fontanelle (chez les b\u00e9b\u00e9s) est d\u00e9j\u00e0 ferm\u00e9e ou si des anomalies ou des tumeurs graves doivent \u00eatre examin\u00e9es.
